About Dr. Blaine Hendrick, DC, FNP-C
Dr. Blaine Hendrick holds dual licensure as both a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), one of a few providers in the Rio Grande Valley with this combination of credentials. This means patients can address primary care and chiropractic needs in the same office, often in the same appointment, without referrals or separate provider relationships.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Blaine serves as the primary care provider (PCP) for many of his patients. He is trained to diagnose and treat a broad range of acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications, order labs and imaging, perform in-office procedures, and provide preventive care and health counseling.
What To Expect at Your Appointment
Step 1: Health History and Assessment. Your first visit includes a review of your health history, current concerns, and any relevant prior diagnoses or medications. A physical exam is performed based on your presenting condition.
Step 2: Diagnosis and Treatment Plan. Dr. Blaine will discuss his findings with you and recommend a course of care. This may include in-office treatment, a prescription, lab work, or a referral depending on your needs.
Step 3: Ongoing and Preventive Care. For patients managing chronic conditions or looking for a regular PCP, follow-up visits are structured around your individual health goals. Preventive screenings and health counseling are available as part of routine care.
