About Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline focused on diagnosing and treating disorders of the spine, joints, and musculoskeletal system. Treatment centers on manual adjustments and soft tissue techniques that restore proper joint movement, reduce nerve irritation, and support the body's ability to heal.

At Hendrick Wellness Center, care is adapted to each patient; what's appropriate for an adult is different from what's appropriate for a child or a pregnant patient. Both Dr. Blaine and Dr. Jana Hendrick have specialized training in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic, and the clinic has been serving McAllen since 2006.

What We Treat

Chiropractic care at Hendrick Wellness Center addresses a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including:

  • Back and neck pain
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Sciatica and radiating pain
  • Herniated and bulging discs
  • Whiplash and auto accident injuries
  • Joint pain, sprains, and strains
  • Pregnancy-related back and pelvic pain
  • Pediatric and infant conditions

Our Providers

Dr. Blaine Hendrick, DC, FNP-C and Dr. Jana Hendrick, DC are both graduates of New York Chiropractic College, with clinical training at the VA Hospital and Monroe Community Hospital in Rochester, NY; experience that included work with veterans, high school, collegiate, and professional athletes.

Dr. Blaine holds dual licensure as a Doctor of Chiropractic and a Family Nurse Practitioner, which means patients can address chiropractic and primary care needs: prescriptions, injections, labs, and more, in a single appointment. This is one of a few such dual-license practices in the Rio Grande Valley.

Dr. Jana provides a female provider option and brings the same chiropractic training and prenatal and pediatric specialization as Dr. Blaine.

All Ages and Stages

Chiropractic for all ages and stages of life

From newborns to seniors, chiropractic care is adapted to the patient.  What is effective for an adult is not appropriate for a child, and we have many ways of delivering age-appropriate care using varied techniques to accommodate the age and stage of each individual.

Step 3: Follow-Up and Progress

Visit frequency depends on your condition. Acute injuries typically require more frequent care early on, tapering as you improve. Many patients transition to periodic maintenance once their primary complaint has resolved.
